Winter in Amsterdam

Everybody is talking about the Elfstedentocht, also known as the Eleven Cities Tour. It is a long-distance speedskating race held in the north of the Netherlands when ice conditions are right. In one day they do a 125-mile (200 km) marathon by skates! It is grueling.
And so our staff members are exploring the ice too... One of the staff members posted on her Facebook: "After an unexpected swimming adventure this afternoon, I am sad to announce that I must retire from my short-lived canal ice skating career."
