visa requirements

We are bound by government regulations regarding visa and permits.

EU

Things are easy when you hold a passport from a European Union (EU) country. Citizen from the EU do not require visa or residence permits in order to join our team.

Non-EU

If you hold a passport from a country that is not part of the European Union (EU), please pay careful attention to the following: You can only join our team for a short-term period (up to 3 months) if you are from a country that does not require a visa to enter the Netherlands. Click here for a list of these countries. If your country is not on this list, you will not be able to join us.

Also, you will need an employment permit. Without this you are not allowed to work as a staff member. The permits are usually granted if you are

  • under 30 years of age, and
  • still in school or just recently finished your education (within one year from your start date).

The employment permit must be granted before you begin working with us. This process will take 2 months from the time you send your completed application (including two reference forms, copy of your passport and copy of your most recent education). Please allow enough time for this processing when you decide to apply with us.

If you hold a passport from a country that is not part of the European Union (EU) and you want to join us for 6 till 12 months you can only apply if you hold a passport of a country mentioned on this list on the right side.

Permits

To be able to serve with us for a long term period, you will need an employment permit and a residence permit. Without these you are not allowed to work as a staff member. The permits are usually granted if you are:

  • under 30 years of age, and
  • still in school or just recently finished your education.

Citizen from Australia, New Zealand or Canada can benefit from the Working Holiday Scheme. Under a Working Holiday Scheme the legal aspects are much easier and you won't need the employment permit. Ask our personnel manager about this. Young people from Germany can do a "FSJ im Ausland". Contact us for more details. The organisation Co-Workers is our German partner.

Questions about the procedures? Ask our personnel manager.
