Country list - long-term staff Before you apply for a long-term period of 6 to 12 months, please check if your country is mentiond below. If your countries is not mentioned, we will not consider your application because it would be nearly impossible to obtain visa and permits for you. Persons from these countries can apply:
For non European Union (EU) citizen who want to serve with us for a long term period, permits are required. We will have to obtain a employment permit and a residence permit on your behalf. For this you need to meet the following criteria: between 18 and 30 years of age, and recently ended education (less than one year ago), or currently a student, or signed up for education after serving in the Shelter YHM. We rarely consider applications from the following countries as well:
For these nationalities also a authorisation for temporary stay (MVV) will be necessary (in addition to the employment and residence permit). This procedure can be complex and can take 6 to 12 months. You can not start this MVV procedure while you are in The Netherlands, you have to be in your home country.
