The Youth Hostel Ministry

The Shelter Youth Hostel Ministry (YHM) is a Christian ministry to travelers. 40,000 backpackers in our hostels, means 40,000 opportunities to share the love of Christ. Will you join us in this mission to international travelers?

In the city centre of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, we run two hostels. Each year, 40,000 backpackers and tourists are spending one or more nights in our hostels. In addition to providing them with good accommodation, our desire is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with these young travelers.

International ministry team
Our team is very international with young men and women from Canada, United States, Germany, Australia, Poland, the Netherlands, and many more countries. Together we run the two hostels, build relationships with the travelers and share the love of Christ in service and words. You can join our team for periods up to one year.
